Local Artists + Flowers = LOVE

We're featuring a few of our favorite local artists this week... our love of flowers being the common thread. Enjoy!

Amy Brnger - Portsmouth, NH

We immediately fell in love with Amy's floral artwork. Her quick stokes reflect the fleeting nature of fresh cut flowers - leaving us with beautiful, permanent interpretations of their forms. We were so enamored with her work that we dedicated several rows of our greeting card racks to her beautiful cards.

Dustan "Dusty" Knight - New Castle, New Hampshire

Dusty's vibrant florals have been an all time favorite of ours. A friend of our co-worker and fellow artist, Theresa, Dusty's floral painting are awash in in color. Oftentimes painting on a grand scale, Dusty has created several smaller pieces that we are currently featuring in the shop. Over the course of several weeks Theresa provided Dusty with cut flowers to paint as Dusty helped Theresa hone her painting skills. The resulting works (watercolor and ink) bring an extra bit of joy to our shop.

 Michelle Morin - New Hampshire

Michelle Morin's love and respect for nature is prevalent throughout her portfolio. Her landscapes are created with intricate and inspired detail featuring unique color combinations and textures; everything we love as floral designers. We were thrilled to find her line of greeting cards and look forward to carrying them in the shop.

Both Amy Brnger and Michelle Morin have their work available at one of our favorite local shops, Nahcotta in Portsmouth, NH.
